Tech N9ne’s Independent Grind Tour 2014 with Krizz Kaliko, Freddie Gibbs, Jarren Benton, and the Psych Ward Druggies
Saw Tech at the Masquerade in ATL Saturday night. Will write more about it when I get back to my laptop. Just got my EEG and MRI, waiting on a ride so I figured I’d go ahead and upload the pics. Sorry if they’re blurry but I’m not that guy awaiting time trying to get the perfect picture or record a song, I’m they’re for the LIVE performance.

Audio very distorted at first but then the music lowers and he does it pretty much acapella.
Can’t wait to see him live in ATL at the Masquerade on April, 19th with Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko.
Also Jarren Benton, and the Psych Ward Druggies will be there. Jarren I have heard and is pretty dope, don’t know about PWD.
EDIT: Went to the show last night, missed the Psych Ward Druggies due to the huge line, saw the end of Jarren Benton’s set. But Gibbs set was dope, he loves going acapella and can do it as well, if not better than a lot of rappers out there.

I added two sections in the top menu where you can select comedy or music (and music has a sub-menu for hip-hop).
Still learning this wordpress thing but I think that should help a lot!

Sort of just a drumbeat from one of Billy Martin’s Illy Beats installments with different Sublime snippets, I had fun with it in audacity, sounds kind of cool and I learned a lot. Wanna go back and and add a base sometimes, dub-like.

These are all just snippets of the original songs reversed to get the hidden message.
Absolute power is almost spoken word/poem like, but it sounded way cooler backwards.
On K.O.D., Mackenzie O’Guin’s part that is reversed is pretty blatant and just says what it says.
In This Is Hip-Hop, featuring Brotha Lynch Hung, Tech N9ne has a lengthy, positive message to his followers.

Finally a little breather
Here is a ridiculous “song” I made just because I updated my favorite audio editing software Audacity so I can record MP3’s from PDFs (Not only using Audacity) , and its the exact same? Maybe I haven’t come across the differences yet but at least it still does what I need it too….
Then I was looking for a drum loop found a decent one and did this to for fun lol…
I have been really stressed out about school and to be able to just relax and play with technology and music made may day.

I love this song for so many reasons. Here are a few…
1. “Wake up and live” – I know I have “slept walked” through a large portion of my life and refuse to any longer.
2. “Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy!” – Just a great positive message, and good advice.
3. “Don’t bury your thoughts; put your vision to reality, yeah!” – Think for yourself, express yourself, don’t be afraid to talk about how you feel, and work towards your goals in life because you won’t accomplish anything you don’t work for.
4. “Whey they use you live big today: tomorrow you buried in-a casket.” – Not sure exactly what Bob meant, but to me it means watch how you live and what you do. You may get a fleeting moment of pleasure, some type of instant gratification, or a short term reward from something, but if you get it the wrong way, by taking shortcuts, or are hurting other people in the process, it will eventually catch up with you and the end result will be a negative one (and as Bob put it “tomorrow you buried in-a casket”).
So… ummm, wake up, and….uhhh.. live, yeah. That’s all I got…… But….
